Andrew Dimitrijevic - PI

Andrew Dimitrijevic is the Research Director of the Cochlear Implant Program at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and scientist at the Sunnybrook Research Institute. He is also faculty at the University of Toronto, Departments of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences, Program in Neuroscience, Physiology.
Dr. Dimitrijevic completed his PhD at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Terry Picton. He went on to postdoctoral positions at the University of British Columbia (Dr. David Stapells) and University of California, Irvine (Dr. Arnold Starr). Dr. Dimitrijevic was faculty at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center before coming to Sunnybrook.

Filip Miscevic- Graduate Student (PhD)

Filip is a graduate from the University of Toronto, Physics and Applied Computing departments. He is part of the joint Max-Planck - Univeristy of Toronto Neuroscience program
Project: Development of a mobile EEG Brain Computer Interface system based on real-time auditory attention feedback for cochlear implantation rehabilitation.

Kathrin Mertel- Graduate Student (PhD)

Kathrin is a graduate student from the University of Toronto Music & Health Science Research Collaboratory. She is co-supervised with Dr. Michael Thaut.
Project: Music Therapy to improve speech perception and working memory in cochlear implant users.

Xinyi Yao- Graduate Student (PhD)

Xinyi is a visiting graduate student from Sichuan University. Her project looks at emotion and gender sound discrimination ablities in in CI users using behavioural and EEG methods.

Garene Matossian - Graduate Student (MSc)

Garene is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, Neuroscience department.

Bowen Xiu - Research Coordinator

Bowen is a research coordinator examing neural stimulation in the CI Brain Lab. He completed a MSc degree from University of Toronto for his work in the CI Brain Lab.
